So Overwhelmed, She Cried

Saturday was Susan's 16th birthday. We had hope to have a family time for her on Saturday night but realized that we had already planned to host a wedding shower at the church, so no party for Susan.

Instead, Lynn and Amy hatched the idea of inviting all the girls from the church over on Friday evening for pizza and movies night. Your basic surprise party.

As the girls arrived we shuffled them around the downstairs while Susan was kept busy playing the Nintendo 64 with Philip. Once everyone had arrived, I called Susan downstairs. She walked into the dining area with a very confused look on her face as she saw five large pizza box's on the table, the Stephenson's and Kamberger's Suburbans sitting in our drive way.

Everyone began to yell HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! and she was so overwhelmed that she began to cry! She had no idea that we were planning anything and she was taken completely off guard.

She recovered and the girls piled into the pizza and then headed back up stairs to watch their movies. All in all it was a very good evening and we made our Susie cry!

BTW: Susan got her drivers license on Saturday morning - Watch out!

I Remain,
Pastor Steve
