Big Things On The Horizon

There are some huge things on the horizon for our Church and ministry. I'm not at liberty to give anymore information at this time but as soon as I'm able I'll let you know!

In the meantime please pray for God's leading!

Thanks ...More to come!

Ten Commandments Southern Style

[]
Ten Commandments

Some people have trouble with all those 'shall's' and
'shall not's' in the Ten commandments. Folks just
aren't used to talking in those terms.. So, in middle Tennessee
they translated the 'King James' into ' Jackson County ' language.

(1) Just one God
(2) Put nothin' before God
(3)Watch yer mouth
(4) Git yourself to Sunday meetin'
(5) Honor yer Ma & Pa
(6) No killin'
(7) No foolin' around with another fellow's gal
(8) Don't take what ain't yers
(9) No tellin' tales or gossipin'
(10) Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff

Now that's plain an' simple.

Y'all have a nice day.

Pastor Steve

Lots of Changes

Lots of changes going on at our house.

Yesterday we dropped Philip off at Faith Baptist Bible College. We are so excited to see him begin this new chapter of his life . It just seemed like the next natural step for him in his walk with Christ to head off to Bible College.

The question is always asked if we cried when we pulled away after getting Phil settled in to his dorm room. The answer is NO. But it is the back story that is the real issue.

We rolled out of Clear Lake just after 7 AM and headed South toward Ankeny. We got just about 25 miles down the road when Philip's car died! As in absolutely no go! There we are on the side of the interstate transferring all of Philip's earthly possessions from his car to our mini-van. We had to have someone from Clear Lake come and pick up Lynn because there was not enough room for all of us to continue on the trip.

After a 35 minute delay Philip and I were back on the road again. On our way to Ankeny and Lynn on her way back to Clear Lake. Now, because of all of this there were no tears shed when we finally got Philip to school. There was just joy that we made it and all were safe!

Everything we do is an adventure!
