It has been a while since I've taken the time to blog and the cause for this is a couple of very busy weeks! We were literally out of town from the 12th through the 21st!
It all started in the middle of the month when we took off for the annual youth conference at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. This is a three day event that lasted from Thursday through Saturday morning. There was a good number of young people as well as lots of youth leaders and sponsors. It was good to see lots of old friends and kids from camp!
The following Monday and Tuesday was the Iowa Association of Regular Baptist Churches annual conference in Creston, Iowa. This event was huge for me as I was the Program Chairman; the one who put the entire program together. This year we tried something a bit different, we had various Pastors from the state of Iowa speak & do workshops. Thus far I have not received any negative feedback and so I'm calling it a success. Now, in the midst of all this, my Dad had cancer surgery! I'm happy to report that after a few very intense days Dad is doing extremely well and is now out of the ICU and getting stronger everyday! Thank you to all who have been praying for him, you will never know what that means to me and my family.
