Ranting About FaceBook
If you are a user of Facebook, you have not doubt received the message that is some sort of a declaration of complete love for and devotion to some cause.
It could be about your relationship to God, your love for Jesus or whatever cause that your "friends" deem important enough to send on to you.
What really fires me up is that after reading this post you have just received, it ends something like this ... "90% of people do not have the guts or nerve to re-post this, if you REALLY love ... (whatever) ... re-post in your page." Through manipulation and shame many are pressured in to re-posting this junk.
It may be true that I'm a poor excuse for a Christian but I refuse to re-post any of those kind of posts! So, all that being said I saw this on Facebook today and just had to laugh. I'm pretty sure that God has better things to do than monitoring Facebook posts!
This is a great cartoon:

"Random" Wednesday
Ah, Yes! Today was my first "random" day of my life!
Perhaps I should explain ... I have been driving a school bus for nigh unto 20 years and TODAY I was randomly selected for the DOT Drug/Alcohol testing.
Here are the results so far .... I passed the alcohol test!
I will hear about the drug test in the next few days/weeks ... I'm not to worries! Oh well!

Change Of Season
Well, it's that time of year when we put way all of the winter gear and start the process of dragging out all of the spring & summer stuff.
For me, this means finally putting away all of my deer hunting gear, clothing mostly as I will try to harvest a turkey this spring with my bow. I also got my my fishing gear out and cleaned up and ready for use!
On another front ... My loving wife bought me a Ipad! I wasn't expecting that!! We were at Best Buy to pick an Ipad for Lynn's Mom and she simply told the salesman to bring her 2! I was totally surprised, but I'm really enjoying getting to learn another device. As always, the learning curve is huge ... but I'm getting the hang of it. BTW, if you have any really great apps that I should check out please let me know. One thing though, I'm in no way interested in games.
Today is March 17th and I'm with Daniel, Maggie and the boys in Grinnell for an area-wide youth rally. We are going bowling and then back to the church for the rally and pizza. Daniel asked me to speak at this rally and I'm really looking forward to it!
More to come soon,
