This is for my Big Bro who is probably walking on the beach......
The Clear Lake Area-Wide Forcast:
A SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA BY 10 AM. A MIX OF WINTER PRECIPITATION WILL OCCUR THROUGH THE DAY. INITIALLY FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED TO SPREAD INTO NORTHERN IOWA...NORTHWEST OF A MANNING TO BUFFALO CENTER LINE. THIS AREA OF FREEZING RAIN WILL THEN SPREAD EAST ACROSS NORTHERN IOWA INTO THE EARLY AFTERNOON. THE PRECIPITATION WILL GRADUALLY CHANGE OVER SNOW LATER THIS AFTERNOON. ONE TENTH TO THREE TENTHS OF AN INCH OF ICE ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE ALONG AND NORTH OF A LINE FROM MALLARD...TO KANAWHA...TO ROCKWELL... INCLUDING MASON CITY...ALGONA...AND ESTHERVILLE. IN ADDITION TO THE ICE...MODERATE SNOW OF 2 TO 4 INCHES WITH AS MUCH AS 6 INCHES POSSIBLE NEAR THE MINNESOTA BORDER BEFORE THE SNOW ENDS THIS EVENING. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BE HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGHOUT THE WARNING AREA...WITH SNOWFALL RATES OF ONE TO TWO INCHES PER HOUR COMMON THIS AFTERNOON.
Love you Bro!
UPDATE: Stinking storm wimped out! But before it did we had a great Thunder/Rain/Sleet storm. Thunder, lightning, pouring rain and driving sleet all lasting about 30 minutes. What a bummer!! And to add insult to injury ... NO Snow! Oh well, State Girls Basketball Tourney is just around the corner. There is still hope for a late winter wingding snowfall!
This is the place where I talk about what is on my mind! My plan is to let you in on what drives me, what motivates me & what fires me up! Please stop by often, leave a note or comment on what I've written or what I've posted. Pastor Steve (1 Timothy 1:16)

Windshield Time
Windshield Time
Defined as the time you spend staring through your vehicle's windshield while driving.
This weekend I'm getting my fair share of windshield time.
Left Clear Lake on Friday and drove to Indianapolis, IN. spent the night. Saturday drove to Cincinnati, OH. for a wedding and on Sunday drove back to Galesburg, IL. and tomorrow on the Waterloo, IA. and then home to Clear Lake!
Looking at somewhere around 24 - 26 hours of driving time...I mean windshield time!

And Life Goes On....
Not much new going on here, just normal life.
Been driving bus quite often, staying very busy with church activities & hanging out with my family.
Saturday was Valentines Day and our youth at our Church served a banquet for our adults. It was a very nice evening and Lynn and I really enjoyed ourselves. The menu was roast beef that was every bit as good as prime rib! Green bean casserole, baked potatoes and dessert.
Let me talk about dessert - One of our teen girls made three desserts: A cherry cobbler, a blueberry cobbler and a brownie with a raspberry accompaniment. WOW these were incredibly good!
A speaker for the evening was Mark Lounsbrough, a professor at Faith Baptist Bible College, and a cousin to one of the Deacons at the church. Mark did a great job and was a blessing to all.
Sunday was a good day at the church...I preached out of the book of Galatians in the morning service, an overview of Revelation chapters 4-22 in the evening service. (I did not get all the way through this lesson!) Our Sunday School class is finishing up a study through the book "Trusting God" by Jerry Bridges. This has been a great study and we have really benefited from this time.
Talk to you soon!

Content Apology
To My Faithful Blog Readers,
It has been brought to my attention that at the end of the video I posted on my blog that there were some other very inappropriate video links. For this I'm very sorry and I never intended to have anything of that nature on my blog.
For the future, I will try to be more careful about what I post from U-Tube.
I would appreciate your forbearance and forgiveness.
Pastor Steve
